BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the largest Bitcoin spot ETF, has facilitated $5 billion in tax-deferred Bitcoin-to-ETF swaps since its SEC approval in July 2025. This actively managed fund allows investors to gain exposure to two popular inflation hedges in one product, with periodic rebalancing and a unique feature enabling in-kind Bitcoin subscriptions and redemptions for qualified participants. The ETF aims to simplify investment management and bridge traditional finance with the Web3 ecosystem, catering to both retail and institutional investors. This follows MicroBit's earlier crypto ETF launches and leverages Hong Kong's expanding crypto ETF market.
